Africa-Press – Liberia. Ahead of the Liberia Kickball Federation (LKF) 2026 national league, Grand Cape Mount-based club Mighty Garwula has officially signed 14 new players to strengthen its roster.
The signings are part of the club’s intensive preparations for the LKF Cape Mount County Sub-division league.
Speaking over the weekend, Mighty Garwula Chief Executive Officer Musa M. Kamara confirmed that the new recruits were selected following a rigorous three-month justification period by the technical staff which is headed by Head Coach J.D. Musa Johnson.
“Our primary goal is to identify and nurture the finest female talent in Cape Mount,” CEO Kamara said. “We are committed to a three-year strategic roadmap to prepare our athletes to dominate the National County Sports Meet and represent our county with excellence on the national stage.”
The LKF county competition is expected to feature 10 registered teams, with the league scheduled to kick off on March 28, 2026, in Sinje Town, Garwula District.
Mighty Garwula, established on February 15, 2025, in Vonzua Town, was founded with the mission of honoring the resilience of Garwula District while serving as a hub for female athletic development and leadership.
“Our club values consist of providing young women with the tools to lead both on and off the field,” Kamara added. “We aren’t just playing; we are building the future stars of Cape Mount sports.”
Beyond the pitch, the CEO emphasized the club’s commitment to the personal growth of its players. He assured parents that the management would prioritize the athletes’ education, healthcare, and discipline.
“We will always seek the interest of these children with an absolute focus on their classroom education and good deportment,” Kamara stated.
He also urged parents to remain active in monitoring their children’s academic progress and behavior to ensure a successful future both in and out of the sporting arena.
The club aims to represent the heritage of Vonzua Town and the wider Garwula District by fostering a professional environment that creates a sustainable pipeline for the next generation of Liberian kickball stars.
