Africa-Press – Liberia. The Liberian Human Rights Activist residing in Ottawa, Canada frowned the Unity Party-led government for not taking serious action on those doctors that are accused by the LMDC.
Stanley Delano Quaye, a Liberian Human Rights Activist based in Ottawa, Canada is calling on the Liberian government to arrest and prosecute fake doctors that are said to have taken the lives of several patients seeking medical treatment at their various health centers.
Recently, three men claiming to be medical doctors -two were charged with killing patients, and the other exposed for faking his medical credentials. This is somehow described as one of the most embarrassing health scandals in recent years.
Abraham Kamara, Sam Wolobah, and Peter Matthew George stand accused of either impersonating physicians or performing surgeries without legal authorization.
Their actions have resulted in the deaths of Dorcas Vondeh, Samuel P. Kollie, and potentially many more unknown victims, according to investigators with the Liberia Medical and Dental Council and the Ministry of Justice.
Last week, the Liberia Medical and Dental Council (LMDC) revoked the medical license of Mr. George, citing inconsistencies in his academic qualifications.
In a letter dated April 21, 2025, LMDC Chairperson Dr. Benetta Collins Andrews notified George that his license, previously registered under number 654, had been removed from the council’s official roster.
She emphasized that neither he nor any medical institution employing him would be allowed to operate without facing fines, closure, or prosecution.
In an interview with FrontPage Africa, the Liberian Human Rights Activist residing in Ottawa, Canada frowned the Unity Party-led government for not taking serious action on those doctors that are accused by the LMDC.
“We are calling for a mass citizen protest over the Government of Liberia’s failure to arrest and Prosecute fake Doctors,” Activist Quaye said.
According to Mr. Quaye, fake doctor George is enjoying the protection of senior Government officials who are in the same cult and syndicate with him.
“Our people are dying every day from fatal surgeries in Liberia, therefore we have to fight harder to weed them (fake doctors, nurses, physicians, midwives, etc.) out without any delay or else more innocent lives could be lost.” Quaye told Frontpage Africa via phone.
He added: “We expressed our disappointment in President Boakai for failing to relieve Dorr Cooper off his post after he, Dorr Cooper was exposed for fraudulently obtaining a degree from the University of Liberia. It’s a big disappointment for me because President Boakai was elected on the platform of honesty and Integrity, meanwhile he is doing the opposite.”
