Africa-PressLiberia. Member parties of the National Executive Committee of the Coalition for Democratic Change, today attended an emergency meeting at the CDC’s National Headquarters, where all three parties demonstrated some level of commitment to resolving issues arising out of the Nimba and Bomi Counties by-election efforts. The meeting, which was a resounding success, was attended by the National Patriotic Party, the Congress for Democratic Change, and the Liberia People’s Democratic Party.

In consequence thereof, the National Executive Committee of the Coalition for Democratic Change will remain seized of the matter brought before it by the two constituent parties.

Accordingly, all three political parties constituting the Coalition’s National Executive Committee agreed to exercise political comportment and decent use of the airwaves in all Coalition affairs; promising to refrain from discussing internal party matters publicly, especially contentious issues repugnant to the collective interests of the CDC.

To strengthen the Coalition’s momentous leadership approach, the NEC encouraged more frequent Coalition Governing Council meetings, which would prove necessary for accelerated discussions on other important matters pertinent to the collective success of the CDC.

In closing, the National Executive Committee of the Coalition for Democratic Change reasserts its commitment to the Coalition protocol, thereby reaffirming its unflinching support to the agenda of the President and Standard-bearer of the CDC, His Excellency George M. Weah.
