Africa-Press – Liberia. One of Liberia’s most promising young strikers, Emmanuel Sumo, is on the move.
The 18-year-old forward has completed a one-season loan deal to Israeli side Hapoel Rishon Lezion FC U-19, a significant step forward in his career.
The deal, confirmed this week, sees Sumo join from his parent club, Philadelphia Lone Star FC, which is based in Liberia.
Sumo’s transfer is being hailed as a major breakthrough for Liberian youth football, as he becomes one of the few Liberian teenagers to get a shot in the Israeli football system.

The young forward recently had a highly impactful loan spell with Liberia first division outfit Bea Mountain FC.
