Africa-Press – Liberia. The president of Veteran Social and Athletic Club has assured members of his team that he is doing everything possible for the team to participate in the Liberia Old-timers National Association (LONA) League.

Veteran Social and Athletic Club is consider as one of the organize old-timers football organization in the Caldwell.

The organization president Sekou M. Massaley in an interview with FrontPage Africa Newspaper said his organization was established on October 15, 2021 and the same year he was elected as president.

He disclose that their main objective is to help keep their members that played football doing their young ages together as a team.

He said majority of his team members are now between the ages of 35 to 38 so they are not allow to play in the LONA league because only athletes who have reach the age of 40 can play in the LONA league but they are doing their best to be home members of LONA..

The RVSAC president continued that two years from now majority of his team members will be qualified to play in the LONA league and he is optimistic that their target of playing in the LNOA league will come to reality.

“ we are now preparing for our team third anniversary celebration and we hope to continue to progress as members of our old-timers team, “Said Mr. Massaley

Mr. Massaley highlighted that as a part of their team’s third anniversary celebration, they will invite old-timers teams from the Bushrod Island communities who are part of LONA to be part of their team third anniversary celebration.

He said inviting other team is a means to showcase his team to LONA members the quality of players they have.

He described his team member’s responses for meeting or other things that are part of their team progress as very encouraging and called on them to intensify their training as they prepare for their team third anniversary celebration scheduled to be held on October 15, 2024.
