Africa-PressLiberia. While the vaccinated public is being allowed to remove its face masks as the Covid pandemic lessens, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have instructed that school students should continue to wear masks for the 2020-2021 academic year, since all students will not be fully vaccinated.

All kindergarten through grade 12 schools “should implement and layer prevention strategies and should prioritize universal and correct use of masks and physical distancing,” according to the directive. The CDC will also continue to require masks be worn at all times by all people in school buildings and buses, while observing a six foot distance between teachers and students.

Earlier this month, U.S. regulators authorized Pfizer to begin inoculating children as young as 12 years old with the Covid vaccine.
