Africa-Press – Malawi. AXED—BunyaThe race for TNM Super League championship is steadily heating up, with boys being separated from men as Dedza Dynamos have fired coach Andrew Bunya while Creck Sporting Club have suspended coach Joseph Kamwendo and two others.

This follows the two team’s poor run in the league.

Bunya becomes the second casualty since the 2025 season kicked off on April 5.

He has joined Enock Mhone who was fired at Songwe Border United last month.

Following Dynamos’ fourth defeat of the season at home to Karonga United 4-0, Bunya was relieved of his duties.

Dynamos Administration Manager Guston Kamkosi confirmed Bunya’s departure and he declined speculation linking former Mighty Wanderers Coach Alex Ngwira to the post.

“Every team wants to do better in the league. We are of the view that the coach did not do enough to get good results.

“Management will soon advise who will take charge of the team as we are still searching for Bunya’s replacement,” Kamkosi said.

Currently, Dynamos occupy position 10 on the 16-member log table with six points from six games having won two and lost four.

Similarly, the situation is not pleasant at Creck either as Kamwendo has been suspended alongside his assistant Abel Mkandawire and strikers’ trainer Chiukepo Msowoya.

Creck Administration Officer Rhemo Malunga confirmed the trio’s suspension, saying they would appear before the board on Friday.

“It is true that head coach Joseph Kamwendo and the other two have been suspended following the team’s poor form and they have been summoned for hearing on Friday May 23.

“In the meantime we will advise who will be in charge of the team as they are on suspension,” Malunga said.

Kamwendo confirmed his suspension but declined to take questions regarding the development.

“I will not comment but I have been served with the suspension letter,” he said.

Creck have four points from five games and they lie on position 15, one above the bottom placed Songwe.
