The High Court of Malawi has granted leave to appeal and stopped the execution of a ruling that discharged an injunction that Blantyre Water Board (BWB) Chief Executive Officer Yeremiah Chihana obtained against his superiors.
The development means Chihana will return to work after an earlier ruling sustained his suspension.
BWB Board of Directors recently suspended Chihana for allegedly making some decisions without consulting it.
Chihana then obtained an injunction restraining the board from suspending him.
