Africa-Press – Malawi. TNM Super League side Blue Eagles FC will soon going to have a women side. Malawi Police Service Sports Coordinator Audrow Makonyola revealed the development on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Area 30.
Makonyola said as other teams playing in the Super League have already started inheriting other women teams across the country. Blue Eagles is not an exception hence plans to establish the Women Football Team at Area 30 as one way of complementing CAF requirements.
The team management is therefore inviting all girls who feel they can play active football to partake in trials at Police Headquarters from Thursday, February 24, 2022 at the Inspector General’s parade ground from 1230hours in the afternoon.
“As Malawi Police Service, we are not doing different ways as our colleagues are doing such as Kamuzu Barracks FC, Silver Strikers FC and Nyasa Big Bullets who have inherited already existing women’s teams.
“We will do it in a different way by establishing a new team to give platform to those girls who have just finished their Secondary School studies and those players who are just staying idle around the city”, he added
