Africa-Press – Malawi. Mozambican President Daniel Chapo has arrived in the country through the Kamuzu International Airport for a two-day official visit.
President Chapo has been welcomed by Vice President Dr Michael Usi, Minister of Foreign Affairs Nancy Tembo, Minister of Information Moses Kunyuyu, Minister of Foreign Affairs in Mozambique Maria Lucas, Malawi’s Ambassador to Mozambique Wezzie Moyo and other government officials.
While in the country, President Daniel Chapo and Malawi’s president, Dr Lazarus Chakwera, are expected to hold bilateral talks and sign bilateral agreements, including the Air Service Agreement to facilitate air transport and connectivity between Malawi and Mozambique.
The Mozambican President Chapo is also expected to visit the Malawi parliament and the Kamuzu Mosouleum.
During his visit, Dr Chakwera and President Chapo are expected to open the Dedza Calomue One Stop Border post to facilitate and enhance trade between the two countries.
This is the first time for the newly elected Mozambican President to visit Malawi.
