Africa-Press – Malawi. President Lazarus Chakwera’s Tonse government is deeply saddened by the death of Grey Mang’anda, one of the Malawi’s iconic Media, Journalism and Communication practitioners and trainers who died on Wednesday August 31, 2022 in Blantyre.
In a statement signed by Minister of Information and Digitalization Gospel Kazako, says government acknowledges and appreciates the immense contribution Mang’anda made to Malawi’s Media, Journalism and Communication landscape for over four decades.
The statement reads, “Government condoles the family of Mr. Mang’anda, his friends, and the media fraternity in Malawi on his death.” The late Mang’anda once served as Dean of Education and Media Studies at the Polytechnic, a constituent college of the University of Malawi, now the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS).
In June 2013, he was appointed acting Principal Secretary for the Ministry of Information and Civic Education. The seasoned journalist also held the post of Director of Information in the same ministry some years ago.
