Africa-Press – Malawi. Civil Service United proved that class is permanent while form is temporary as they stunned TNM Super League leaders FCB Nyasa Big Bullets 2-1 at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe Saturday.
Moses Banda scored the winner with a powerful header from a Blessings Malinda corner kick to give his team all three points.
The People’s Team remain winless against Civil in the league away from home in three matches.
Additionally, this is Bullets’ second loss of the season having lost 1-0 to Mighty Wanderers last month.
This is a third victory for Civil this season in the league after a poor start.
Following the loss, Bullets have 27 points from 11 matches but Wanderers could dislodge them from the summit of the 16-member log table with a victory over rookies Ekhaya at Kamuzu Stadium.
Wanderers have 26 points from 10 matches.

Peter MpondaThe towering defender was unmarked in the box and pounced on a loose ball beating goalkeeper Richard Chimbamba.
Sensing danger, Bullets Coach Peter Mponda made a double substitution when he introduced Ephraim Kondowe and Ernest Petro for Yamikani Mologeni and Wongani Lungu.
Kondowe made an instant impact when he pulled Bullets level with a well taken goal in the 57th minute of the match.
He showed great composure before beating Civil goalkeeper Rahman John.
But Civil continued to dominate possession and looked dangerous going forward with Blessings Malinda and Dustin Banda remaining a constant threat to Bullets.
Bullets introduced Paul Master for Lameck Gamphani in what looked like a tactical substitution to stabilise the midfield.
On the other hand, Civil introduced Muhammad Bayison for Frank Chizuze.
But it was Banda (Moses) who netted the winner with three minutes to full time.
Eventually, Banda was named player of the match.
