Africa-Press – Malawi. Ecobank Malawi has donated K2 million to the Maseko Ngoni Heritage which will go towards this year’s Umlhangano wa Angoni celebrations. The celebrations are being held at Nkolimbo in Ntcheu District.
Speaking during the handover ceremony, Ecobank Malawi Head of Human Resources Frank Sabola said the bank believes in preserving the African heritage which is in line with its Pan- Africanism philosophy.
“We believe that this donation will go a long way in making this event a great success,” Sabola said. Receiving the donation on behalf of the Maseko Ngoni Heritage, Inkosi Phambala expressed gratitude to Ecobank for the gesture.
“We implore individuals, businesses, and the corporate world to emulate the kind gesture made by Ecobank,” Inkosi Phambala said Ecobank Transnational Incorporated is the parent company of the Ecobank Group which has branches across Africa and outside.
