Africa-Press – Malawi. Hills and Associates, a company which deals on plots selling in the country, has finally handed over the plots they pledged to two Flames players including Charles Thom and Frank Hellings Mhango for their great performance at the 2021 continental Showpiece which took place in Yaoundé Cameroon.

Speaking at the function in the capital Lilongwe, the Marketing Manager for the company, Brian Chikuse said the company was excited to hand over the plots to the Flames players.

Chikuse duo were given plots following their exceptional performance at the tournament which led the Malawi National Football Team to their maiden round of 16 slot.

“We opted to give them plots than money or cars taking into consideration that football is a short term career hence giving them everlasting gift to remember when they retire from active football.

“Our company is in the country to complement government efforts in uplifting the youths by giving them jobs,we have employed graduates now we want to support the players”, says Chikuse.

Charles Thom who was voted man of the match against the Africa’s number one, The Teranga Lions of Senegal was delighted for finally getting the plot saying this will motivate him to continue working hard.He then hailed the company for the gift.

Football Association of Malawi (FAM) executive member Muhammad Selemani who represented Orlando Pirates lethal striker Gabadihno Mhango expressed gratitude over the company’s good gesture saying is the step towards developing the sport in the country.

Sulemani therefore urged players to buy the plots from the company before the 40% discount offer expires. Mhango scored three goals at the tournament and was voted man of the match against Zimbabwe while Charles Thom made his Flames debut in the same game against the Brave warriors before emerging man of the match against Senegal.
