Africa-Press – Malawi. Former United Democratic Front (UDF) Presidential candidate Atupele Austin Muluzi has refuted rumours that he has joined Malawi Congress Party (MCP) in order to render his support to President Lazarus Chakwera.
Muluzi said in a facebook post that this is just a complete lie and fabrication since he has never joined MCP nor spoke this with Chakwera. “One of the online publication published an article which is a complete lie and Fabrication. I haven’t Joined MCP nor have I spoken this with President Chakwera,” refuted Muluzi.
He said his main intention to quit politics still remains venturing into a Pan Africa business executive for the progress and development of Malawi and Africa at large.
He said “Friends, I have stepped back from politics to transition into a Pan-Africa business executive. Together with global business partners we have intend to immediately kick lead starting a mini-industrial and economic revolution for the progress and development of Malawi and Africa.
“I am open to your ideas, new strategies and we look forward to working with you. Please feel free to inbox me or post on my page”. Muluzi announced his resignation over the weekend and appointed Lillian Patel as UDF acting President.
