Africa-Press – Malawi. Medivisor India Treatment, a healthcare facilitator based in India, has expressed interest in expanding its services to Malawi.
The company aims to offer patients access to affordable, specialised overseas medical care for conditions that cannot be treated locally.
This development comes in response to the growing demand for specialised treatment in Malawi.
Medivisor Director and Neurosurgeon Jatinder Kumar said the company intends to bridge the gap for Malawian patients seeking overseas treatment, particularly for complex procedures such as cardiac bypass surgery, neurosurgery and cancer care.
“Our goal is to raise awareness in Malawi that world-class treatment for serious conditions is both accessible and affordable.
“Medivisor is not a hospital. We are a healthcare facilitator working with leading hospitals in India to manage every step of a patient’s journey, from diagnosis to post-discharge care,” Kumar said.
Deputy General Manager Harman Cheema added that, unlike direct hospital admissions, which often leave patients to manage their own care after discharge, Medivisor provides extended support through trained paramedics and nurses.
These professionals assist with medication, wound care and follow-ups, helping to reduce hospital bills and improve recovery outcomes.
The company also offers accommodation packages through “Medivisor House” apartments and partner hotels at discounted rates.
Company Relationship Manager Sameer Singh said Medivisor’s services are available across India, from Delhi and Mumbai to major medical hubs in the south.
“We have already assisted patients from Guinea, Fiji, Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands, and now we are here in Malawi to offer the same support.
“Our platform provides a home-away-from-home experience. From the moment a patient arrives in India until they return, our team is there every step of the way,” Singh said.
Medivisor plans to collaborate with local medical practitioners and insurance companies to ensure that Malawians are informed and supported in accessing specialised care abroad.
Established in 2015, the company has facilitated treatment for nearly 2,000 patients from the South Pacific Islands and is now expanding its focus to Africa and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
