Africa-Press – Malawi. The country’s old conventional Likuni Boys Primary School in the capital Lilongwe has been deserted for a year with fears that learners will be unable to attend lessons in the new academic as the rains start.
This is due to the unroofing of the school’s classrooms that have not been renovated after rains ransacked the institution last rainy season. The Maravi Post visit to the school on Thursday, October 19, 2023, witnessed some pupils learning under trees due to a lack of classrooms.
This is the school that has produced great sons of the land. The school is under the Catholic Church with support from the Malawi Government. Why has the school been deserted? Where is the Catholic Church? Where is the Education Ministry? Where is Member of Parliament (MP) Jean Sendeza for this area? Where are you, former learners of this school? These are some of the questions this publication wants answers.
