Africa-Press – Malawi. Malawi government through the Ministry of Education on Friday March 11, 2022, announced the extension period of paying fees for all National Examinations from March 12, 2022 to March 30, 2022.
Making the announcement in Parliament in the capital Lilongwe, Minister of Education Agnes Nyalonje said the extension of the exams fee payment deadline will allow the parents and guardians to register their children without any challenges.
“We noticed that there were complaints from parents and guardians whose children are sitting for this year’s National Exams,saying the deadline period of paying for examinations fees is too short. That is why we have decided to extend the period so as to allow them register their children without any challenge,” said Nyalonje.
Nyalonje went on urging the head teachers from both public and private schools to comply with the new deadline. The development has also led to the extension of the registration period for all National Examinations from March 11 to March 18, 2022. This year’s Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations will commence from August 30,2022 to September 22nd,2022.
