Africa-Press – Malawi. President Lazarus Chakwera’s government through the ministry of Transport works says is trying it’s level best that development is spread national wide.
Addressing the media in the capital Lilongwe during media face Minister of Transport and public works, Jacob Hara says transport is key in improving the country’s social economic development.
Hara has assured Malawians that the Tonse Government will continue to work on developmental infrastructures that were started by the former government.
He also cited that there are some Constructions underway including the Marka Road in Nsanje, Mzimba- Mzalangwe Road, Nsanama-Nauchi Road, Tsangano road, Livingstonia Road and Thyolo-Thekelani Road.
According to the minister there are several projects being done under the leadership of Tonse Government country wide. He further indicated that under the visionary leadership of Chakwera, there is a six lane road project for kenyatta drive in Lilongwe.
Further, the minster has also revealed that procurement processes are done to start construction of M1 road. Hara has also emphasized on the constructions of the airport in the north and reconstructing Chileka airport.
