Africa-Press – Malawi. The Asian association of Malawi says will work hand in hand with the state in fighting against corruption. In a press statement made available to The Maravi Post on Friday, February 28, 2022 the association says is strongly regrets irrespective of the race, nationality and religion of any individuals involved in corruption.
The association also observes that corruption prevents proper economic development as public resources are not used for intended purpose. “We also recognise that the corruption is a deadly cancer which undermine the rule of law. More over corruption prevents proper economic development as public resources are not used for intended purpose,” reads in part the statement.
The association also said that will support the agencies that play an essential and integral role in the fight against corruption, in particular the anti corruption bureau.
The grouping therefore disassociates itself from any attempt to undermine the anti corruption bureau in anyway. The association says will condemn any attempt to intimidate any officer of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).
Therefore the Asian community is urging Malawians who are interested in promoting the rule of the law and the welfare of the country to work with them in ending corruption.
