The Malawi Environment Protection Authority (Mepa) Wednesday launched a major crackdown on companies and traders involved in the illegal manufacture and sale of banned plastics in Lilongwe.
The operation is being carried out in collaboration with the Malawi Police Service and the Lilongwe City Council.
