Africa-Press – Malawi. Two traffic police officers have sustained injuries after being hit by a motorist at a checkpoint in the district The driver of the vehicle was coming from Limbe heading to Thyolo boma when the vehicle hit the officers at near Planters Tea Agency (PTA).
According to reports one male officer has been rushed to Queen Elizabeth Central hospital after sustaining serious injuries while another female officer is admitted at Thyolo district hospital. Thyolo Police Station officer, John Jailos, said officers were investigating the incident. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle has been arrested.
