Malawi National Football Team head coach Kalisto Pasuwa has named a 23-man provisional squad made up entirely of local-based players as the Flames begin preparations for a Four Nations Tournament set to take place in Botswana later this month.
The Flames are expected to regroup at Football Association of Malawi’s Chiwembe Technical Centre in Blantyre Saturday ahead of the tournament which runs from March 23 to 31 and falls within the Fifa international window.
All matches will be played at Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown.
Malawi’s last outing was in November last year when they edged Lesotho 1-0 in a friendly match, making the tournament a significant opportunity to return to competitive action.
