Africa-Press – Malawi. Paramount Chief Mpezeni’s messengers were ambushed and attacked by the Red Army in the neighbouring district of Mchinji. The Red Army (Nyasa Big Bullets RSV) confiscated Bows, arrows and Shields (Vishango) for the Ngoni’s from Zambia and later on conquered the whole Mpezeni Emperor.
Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve was too big for the Ngoni’s Real Mpezeni in MK5 million Aubrey Dimba Trophy on Sunday, August 7, 2022 as they thrashed and taught them bitter football lessons, scoring 7 goals to not.
Mpezeni FC started very well in the first minutes of the first half, as Isaac Banda, Zacharia Zulu,Daniel Tembo and Misheck Phiri showed some great play but how could they do that with superb SRFA Thumbs up defending champions and of course Aubrey Dimba’s trophy favorites.
At 40 minutes no team had broken the deadlock, but Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve opened the score sheet in the dying minutes of the half through Alex Tsamba.
First 45 ended Bullets Reserve narrowly leading by a goal to nil. Second half Bullets ignited fire and started scoring goals like nobody’s business while displaying classical and beautiful football while Mpezeni kept chasing their own shadows.
Bullets scored other goals from Wongani Kaponya a brace,Chrispin Mapemba,Chimwemwe Yassin and Captain Yamikani Mologeni who was later voted man of the match.
The Warriors of Mpezeni lacked marksmanship and composure upfront and their goalkeeper Cosmas Tembo was not on top of his game no wonder he was replaced by Jere Joseph.
Bullets created more scoring chances and they could have netted over 10 goals. At the end of regulation time it was 7-0 to Bullets Reserve in disbrief to the Ngoni’s who left the pitch singing their local song (Ana wanga katani kambwiri!! Newo ifya!! Yanikata kale) my children hold holes death is near me.
Enos Chatama, Bullets RSV Coach, was delighted for the victory but said his boys missed a lot of chances. He added the boys played to the instructions. Chatama described Real Mpezeni as a good side only that they were equally playing to a good side hence failing to contain the pressure.
Assistant coach for Mpezeni was speechless after the demolition over Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve saying their counterpart are full of experience as they play in premier division than them who plays in the Eastern Province first tier.
“We have accepted the defeat,we will go back and groom our team,Bullets is playing good football, very fast football, we are rejuvenated club as the old club disbanded, Tikayiwuzye NKosi Ya Mankosi Chief Mpezeni kuti, tapeza timu yuteya bola ku Malawi,7 zapakisha(Will tell Chief Mpezeni that we met a strong and good side in Malawi)”, Jere said in disbelief.
