Africa-Press – Malawi. Local training and consultancy firm, Sycamore Consult Limited, will next week host the 2022 Wealth Creation Forum which is aimed at bringing together people from various disciplines to discuss ways towards wealth creation.
The indaba will be held at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) on August 31 according to a statement issued by Sycamore Consult Limited founder, Audrey Mwala.
In the statement, Mwala said the platform is created to complement the government’s financial inclusion agenda by advocating saving, investment and wealth creation culture.
According to Mwala, at the indaba, delegates will discuss strides towards sustainable wealth creation in line with the aspirations embedded in the Malawi 2063, the country’s long-term development blueprint.
“We should expect participants to come out with fire for action and fire to create wealth. This is mostly about preparing people for the right mind-set and giving them the skills of how wealth is created,” Mwala said.
She said for many years, the country has been crafting documents to eradicate poverty without actualising the ideas therein, hence, the need for advocacy of an action-oriented mind-set. Mwala said speakers at the meeting will confront hindrances to progressing and accumulating wealth, and further offer remedies.
The presenters include Zambian-born entrepreneur and motivational speaker, Dumisani Ncube, local businesspersons Napoleon Dzombe and Shepard Bushiri, Standard Bank Chief Executive Phillip Madinga and NPC Director General Thomas Munthali.
