Africa-Press – Malawi. Malawi Police in Dowa have confirmed the death of a 23- year- old Takelo Kamwana who has committed suicide after a misunderstanding with his wife. It is reported that, late Kamwana and his wife had marital misunderstanding over a romantic message from another woman which the wife saw in the deceased’sphone.
According to Mponela Public Relations Officer Macpatson Msadala, the late Kamwana was then discovered dead and hanging in a tree and the matter was reported to village Headman Bweya and later reported to Bowe police unit.
“The scene of crime was visited by Mponela Crime Investigations Department personnel in a company of medical officer from Bowe Health Centre who upon conducted postmortem revealed that the death was due to suffocation secondary to strangulation,” said Msadala . Kamwana hailed from Bweya village,Traditional Authority (TA) Chakhaza in Dowa District.
