Africa-Press – Malawi. A 34-year-old teacher identified as Dennis Banda has committed suicide after misunderstandings with his wife. Mchinji District Education office has confirmed the death of the teacher who was based at Kangwere Primary School.
Mchinji District Education Manager Nellie Kamtedza said Banda was found hanging in his gardern yesterday. Banda reportedly had a suicide note in which he talked about his marital issues.
There have been concerns of cases of suicide in Malawi. In the month of October this year, 58 people committed suicide with police saying debts and marital issues are the common reasons pushing people to take their own lives.
