Mighty Wanderers coach Bob Mpinganjira has said together with his backroom staff they can achieve the targets which the team’s management has set for them.
This comes after Mpinganjira and his assistant MacDonald Mtetemera extended their stay at the Lali Lubani Road side to 2028.
The pair has reportedly been told to defend the league and win, at least, two cups.
However, Wanderers Chief Executive Officer Panganeni Ndovi could neither confirm nor deny the set targets but an inside source confided with Malawi News Sport that the technical panel has been told to win two major trophies within each year.
STAYING PUT—MpinganjiraNdovi said they wanted to challenge for every trophy on the domestic scene.

“As Wanderers, we want them [the team] to challenge for every available silverware, but I cannot disclose the targets in their contract because that is personal information,” Ndovi said.
Meanwhile, Mpinganjira said he was not worried about the obligations and contents of the contracts but rather focusing on improving the team without necessarily disclosing the contractual details.
“All I want is to pay back the trust which the club president [Thom Mpinganjira] and the board have shown in me and my assistant and it is the wish of every coach to win,” he said.
On his part, Mtetemera said contractual targets should not be a burden to every coach.

“If they want us to give them two cups, I will fight for the three because I am a serial winner. To have a club president who is ambitious and has trust in you is rare. We will work to win,” he said.
Mpinganjira and Mtetemera helped Wanderers win the TNM Super League championship, an honour that had eluded the team since they last won it in 2017.
The team also finished as runners-up to Silver Strikers in FDH Bank Cup.
