Africa-Press – Malawi. Christmas message is well understood from the Old Testament. God after creating all things, He did create human beings called Adam and later his wife Eve. Genesis 1.26-28
God created them and gave them His blessing and total dominion over all the water world, air world and land world, where Satan and his demons came to live when they were all cast out of heaven. Luke 10:18
But God gave strict order to Adam never to touch the forbidden tree which was in the garden. And out of the ground, the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food.
The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it, you shall surely die. Genesis 2:9, 17 (NKJV)
Your parents will always value your obedience as a child at all times and Adam had to obey God at all times. But Eve who never was given to law was enticed by her heart and Satan connived with her to eat of the fruit and she did, then went to make her husband disobey the Lord again.
Then God called Adam to repent but both refused. Satan took over the world, the earth was cursed. Sin, diseases, plagues, poverty, sickness, failure, demonic infestation, witchcraft, satanic worship, idolatry, sweat, life struggles and death came into the world.
We all sinned and did fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 We all sinned and died in Adam. Romans 5.12-15 The world now needed a savior, a Messiah not another failed earthly sinful man.
A sinner would not manage to save another sinner; no sick person would heal another sick person. God had to send a solution destroying darkness that covered the earth.
But God loved the world that He decided to send Jesus Christ as a living sacrifice. He was God without sin but was made like sin. He died on the cross and saved the world, He became the saviour to all those who believe in Him. John 3:16
Now Christmas is a celebration of the fulfilled promise of the birth of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. We celebrate, thanking God for sending us the Light of the World, destroyer of darkness, conqueror of Satan who defeated death, saved us from sin and gave new life to all.
And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins. Matthew 1:21 We celebrate because all satanic evils and darkness have been destroyed by the Lord who is the Light of the nations. The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light and upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned.
Christmas is not
Reeling back into darkness or sin like drinking, lusts of the flesh, stealing, kidnapping and all sorts of evils. That is never Christmas at all but blindness and unbelief.
There is no reason to abandon the glory of the Lord, abusing the love of God that sent us the saviour Lord Jesus to save, heal, deliver and empower you and me on earth with the divine dominion. Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year; 2022.
