Africa-Press – Malawi. The World Bank has approved an $80 million (over K140 billion) grant and pledged a further about $100 million in additional support for Malawi, a combined financing package expected to strengthen local governance, improve public service delivery and support economic stability across the country.
The $80 million funding under the Governance to Enable Service Delivery Project (Gesd 2.0), together with the forthcoming emergency and stabilisation support, is set to expand access to essential services such as health, education, water and community infrastructure across the country.
