Africa-Press – Mali. On the sidelines of the 21st edition of the National Culture Week (SNC), the President of the Transition, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE granted, this Saturday at the end of the morning, an audience with the minister in charge of the culture of Mali Andogoly GUINDO and that of Niger, guest country, Abdourahamane AMADOU.

The Nigerien minister in charge of culture said he was satisfied with the discussions he had with the Head of State. “It was for us to come and present our civilities and the fraternal greetings of the President of the National Council for the Protection of the Fatherland, General Abdourahamane TCHIANI”.

Abdourahamane AMADOU thanked Burkina Faso for the honor given to Niger as guest country of the 21st edition of the National Culture Week. According to the Minister of Youth, Culture, Arts and Sports, Niger will present at this edition, a sample of its cultural potential, particularly that of the peoples of the river zone to the desert.

As for the Minister of Crafts, Culture, Hotel Industry and Tourism, Andogoly GUINDO, he presented to the President of the Transition Ibrahim TRAORE, the greetings of his Malian counterpart, Colonel Assimi GOÏTA.

He also explained that culture is a leaven that helps strengthen cohesion between the peoples of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES). “The AES is a group that will be formed on culture; culture being a powerful factor of integration ,” he said. The Malian minister indicated that his country is present at this edition with a strong delegation including an artistic troupe from the Dogon cultural area.

During this audience, the ministers in charge of culture received advice from President Ibrahim TRAORE. “We made a commitment before the President of the Transition, my counterparts from Niger and Burkina, to translate into reality the ideals of the Heads of State of the AES,” added the Malian minister in charge of culture.
