Africa-Press – Mauritius. The High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Mauritius, Mr. Muhammed Arshad Jan Pathan, paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy Prime Minister (VPM), Minister of Education, Tertiary Education, Science and Technology, Ms.
Leela Devi Dookun–Luchoomun , today, at his office in Phoenix. The discussions focused mainly on the opportunity for cooperation in the educational sector and to further deepen bilateral relations between the two countries.
In a statement, the High Commissioner expressed his gratitude for the courtesy visit to the VP, which he said was fruitful. The meeting, he added, focused on ways to increase the capacity building of Mauritians with regard to technical and vocational training programs and, likewise, have customized programs for Mauritians in Pakistan.
The High Commissioner highlighted the possibility of opening Pakistani universities and schools in Mauritius. He also spoke about the promotion of tourism, in terms of how Pakistan can benefit from Mauritius’ experience in this sector.
