This victory moved Barcelona one step closer to winning La Liga.
Barcelona now leads second-place Real Madrid by seven points at the top of the standings after the victory, and with three games left, another win will secure the Catalans their 28th Spanish league championship.
At the Montjuic Olympic Stadium, Real Madrid got off to a fast start, leading by two goals thanks to braces from Kylian Mbappe.
Barcelona quickly overcame the deficit, though, as Eric Garcia, Lamine Yamal, and Raphinha all scored goals within 15 minutes.
After a costly mistake by Lucas Vazquez, Raphinha increased Barcelona’s lead just before halftime.
Even though Mbappe finished his hat-trick in the 70th minute, the champions from the previous season were unable to rally and were on the verge of a season without a trophy.
