Africa-Press – Mauritius. The Palencras Negras of Angola head coach Pedro Gonçalves named a 25-man squad for the country’s upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifying games against Cape Verde and Mauritius.
Angola which will take part in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast is expecting to use these games as part of their preparations like all of the qualified countries for the biggest African tournament.
But the aim is of course to make a good start in these qualifiers in order to keep a chance of making it to 2026 World Cup.
The Palancas Negras will travel to Praia to face Cape Verde on November 13 that is three days before their second game against Mauritius (November 16).
