Africa-Press – Mauritius. FIFA has chosen a dazzling venue for the 2026 World Cup draw: the iconic Sphere in Las Vegas. The event will take place on December 5, 2025, inside the 17,500-seat dome known for its massive LED display and futuristic design.
The ceremony will set the stage for the first-ever 48-team edition of the tournament, to be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
With 13 teams already qualified — including the three hosts and football giants like Argentina, Brazil, and Japan — anticipation is building. The draw will determine the group stage for matches held across 16 cities in North America, shaping what is expected to be the biggest World Cup ever in both scale and global reach.
