Africa-Press – Mauritius. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially unveiled the Best XI of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, rewarding the standout performers who lit up the tournament with world-class displays and unforgettable moments.
After weeks of intense competition, drama and high-quality football, the final selection reflects the teams and players who consistently delivered on the biggest stage. Champions Senegal and finalists Morocco dominate the list, with Nigeria also strongly represented following an impressive campaign.
In goal, Morocco’s Bono gets the nod after a series of decisive saves that kept his team in the hunt throughout the tournament. The defence is marshalled by a solid back four featuring Achraf Hakimi and Noussair Mazraoui on the flanks for Morocco, alongside Calvin and Moussa Niakhaté, who both impressed with their composure and physical presence at the heart of defence.
The midfield trio is built around balance and control. Idrissa Gana Gueye anchors the side after another tireless tournament for Senegal, while Pape Gueye adds energy and bite. Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman is included for his creativity and decisive contributions going forward from midfield areas.
Up front, the attack is headlined by Victor Osimhen, whose goals and all-round play once again underlined his status as one of Africa’s deadliest forwards. He is flanked by Senegal icon Sadio Mané on the left and Morocco’s Brahim Díaz on the right, both of whom produced match-winning performances at crucial moments.
The final CAF AFCON 2025 Best XI underlines the quality and depth of talent on display in Morocco and serves as a fitting tribute to a tournament that will be remembered for its intensity, passion and high standard of football.
