Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Mauritius presents Letters of Credence to President Roopun

Africa-Press – Mauritius. The Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Mauritius, Mrs Abir Mohamed Ismail Alam Eldin, presented her Letters of Credence to the President of the Republic of Mauritius, Mr Prithvirajsing Roopun, today, at the State House in Réduit.

In a statement, the Ambassador indicated that she conveyed the greetings of the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr Abdel Fatah El Sisi, and the latter’s wish that the coming period be prosperous with economic, commercial, and cultural cooperation between the two countries.

Discussions, she highlighted, also pertained to the opportunities aiming to facilitate the exchange of ideas, strategies, and resources to combat challenges faced by both countries and pave the way towards a harmonious and prosperous future.

Emphasising that Egypt is committed to creating a foundation built on open dialogue, Ambassador Eldin observed that possibilities for mutually beneficial partnerships in areas of trade, culture, education, and technology will be explored.

About the Ambassador
Mrs Abir Mohamed Ismail Alam Eldin has served as Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for Cultural Agreements and Protocols from 2018 to 2023.

She was also the Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for European Union Affairs from 2017 to 2018 and, Director of Western Europe Affairs from 2016 to 2017.

From 2011 to 2013, she occupied the post of Director of the Office of Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs and was the alternate delegate at the Permanent Mission of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the League of Arab States from 2007 to 2010.
