Africa-Press – Mauritius. The anti-influenza vaccination exercise 2022 was launched, yesterday, by the Minister of Social Integration, Social Security and National Solidarity, Mrs Fazila Jeewa-Daureeawoo, at the NPF Building in Rose-Hill.

In a statement, Minister Jeewa-Daureeawoo emphasised the importance of the anti-influenza vaccine in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and the upcoming winter season.

She underlined her Ministry’s resolve to cater for the wellbeing of elderlies and to provide the necessary healthcare facilities to protect their health. She further recalled that those who were bedridden could request for the Ministry’s doctors to make a house call.

In addition, the Minister indicated that children with disabilities, attending specialised schools, and all inmates of the 22 charitable institutions as well as the 52 private licensed homes, would benefit from this anti-influenza vaccination exercise.

Anti-influenza vaccination exercise 2022 The anti-influenza vaccination exercise 2022 spans until 04 May 2022 and targets elderly persons aged 60 and above; children with disabilities attending specialised schools; and all inmates of charitable institutions and private licensed homes
