Author of music album on late Sir Anerood Jugnauth calls on PM

Africa-Press – Mauritius. The author of a music album on late Sir Anerood Jugnauth, Dr Arty Rambharush, paid a courtesy call to the Prime Minister, Mr Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, this afternoon, at the New Treasury Building, in Port-Louis.

In a statement, Dr Rambharush stated that the meeting with the Prime Minister focused on late Sir Anerood Jugnauth as he was an inspiration and has contributed enormously to moulding her personality.

According to her, it is in this context that she started the album comprising a song that she composed on the day Sir Anerood Jugnauth passed away but could not be completed.

Hence, the author pointed out that as his first death anniversary is approaching, she made an effort to complete the album so as to gift it to the Jugnauth family.

Furthermore, she appealed to the population to follow the examples of great leaders such as late Sir Anerood Jugnauth and pay tribute to their contribution for the welfare of the country even though they have passed away.

“If we are to become a better Mauritius, we need to respect those politicians who have done so much for the country, and this album is a tribute to Sir Anerood Jugnauth’s work over the years, to his family and to his demise as well,” Dr Rambharush stated.

Dr Rambharush is the author and singer of the album launched on late Sir Anerood Jugnauth. She is holder of a doctorate in philosophy (PhD) and has received awards for her brilliant performance in literary and cultural activities at local and national levels. She is also the author of two textbooks on Hinduism for School Certificate and Higher School Certificate students.
