Africa-Press – Mauritius. Barcelona announced on Wednesday that their left winger Ansu Fati has suffered an injury setback.
“Ansu Fati suffered a right hamstring injury at training on Wednesday morning. He will be out for approximately four weeks,” Barca said in a statement.
Fati, born in the West African country of Guinea-Bissau, moved to Spain and became a citizen in 2019.
The 22-year-old produced 29 goals and 10 assists in 119 appearances for the Spanish football club.
Fati currently holds the title of the youngest player to score a goal in UEFA Champions League (UCL) history.
The winger became the UCL’s youngest goalscorer in a 2-1 victory over Inter Milan in 2019 — at the age of 17 years and 40 days.
