Africa-Press – Mauritius. The winter season in the northern hemisphere boosts, if needed, the attractiveness of sun destinations like Mauritius. Golf Planète presented last week, the Domaine de Grand Baie which opened in the north of this sought-after island, very close to the Mont-Choisy golf course, the course where the Mauritius Open will be played at the beginning of December.
Rémi Sabarros, General Manager of Beachcomber Hotels for France, Belgium and Luxembourg, gives Golf Planète an update on his reality and his projects.
“The reality of Beachcomber in Mauritius is 8 Resorts & Hotels, ranging from 4 stars to Palaces.
We are the pioneers of the destination, created in 1952, and market leader with more than 2,000 rooms. Our fiscal year has changed; now we start our year on July 1 and end on June 30.
And good news: the current year, 2022-23 promises to be excellent and so much the better after a year and a half of closure due to Covid. Our priority markets are European with France in number 1 and Germany followed by England.
We should add that we are fortunate to also have two local markets: I am talking about South Africa and Reunion, which are also both performing very well.
The Domaine de l’Harmonie, made up of villas available for sale to foreign investors (PDS) will soon see the light of day, most certainly also with a 4-star hotel and an 18-hole golf course. The spot is splendid with a superb view of the sea and Le Morne mountain. His golf will surely be the highlight.
