Africa-Press – Mauritius. Paul Bérenger announced this Saturday, April 4, 2026, that Joanna Bérenger, Chetan Baboolall, and he will sit as independent members of Parliament this Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
He stated, however, that he remains the leader of the MMM and that both of his colleagues are still members of the party. He also reiterated his opposition to becoming the Leader of the Opposition.
