Africa-Press – Mauritius. The price of the barrel of Brent oil opened trading, on the international market, on Friday, at the price of USD 70.15 with a positive variation of 0.80%.

Thursday sales session ended at USD 69,88, with a depreciation of 1,53%.

Brent futures fell USD 1,07, or 1,5%, to USD 69,88 per barrel, while the futures contract of the US West Texas Intermediate oil fell USD 1,13, or 1,7%, to USD 66,55 per barrel.

Oil prices fell more than 1% on Thursday as markets weighed macroeconomic concerns including the risk that tariffs war between the United States and other countries could hurt global demand, as well as uncertainty stemming from a U.S. proposal for a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine.

In recent days, oil prices have been trading below the value stipulated by the Angolan Government’s General State Budget (OGE) for the current financial year, which represents a risk of budget revision if the situation continues in the coming months.

The OGE 2025 was prepared based on a price of USD 70/barrel and an estimated production of 1,098 barrels of oil daily.
