The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and SuperSport have announced a major broadcast partnership for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025TM, ensuring live coverage of the continent’s biggest football tournament across Sub-Saharan Africa in both English and local languages.
The agreement, unveiled at SuperSport’s headquarters in Johannesburg, South Africa, marks a significant boost to CAF’s mission of expanding the tournament’s reach and enhancing the viewing experience for millions of African football fans.
The event was attended by key football and broadcast executives, including CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe, CANAL+ Africa Chairman Calvo Mawela, CANAL+ Africa CEO David Mignot, and SuperSport CEO Rendani Ramovha.
With this deal, SuperSport joins an expanding list of CAF’s global broadcast partners for the AFCON 2025 finals, which will be hosted by Morocco.
The collaboration underlines the growing synergy between CAF and leading media networks to deliver world-class football experiences to African audiences.
Speaking at the announcement, CANAL+ Africa CEO David Mignot expressed excitement about the new alliance, especially following the recent merger between CANAL+ Africa and MultiChoice Group.

The TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025TM is a great demonstration of this ambition—bringing together our expertise to offer unprecedented coverage and bring fans closer to the game,” he said.
SuperSport also revealed plans to launch a dedicated TotalEnergies CAF AFCON Morocco 2025 channel, which will provide exclusive content, in-depth analysis, and expert commentary in multiple languages.
The channel will feature African football legends and respected pundits, giving fans comprehensive coverage before, during, and after every match.
CAF President Dr. Motsepe lauded the partnership as a step forward in CAF’s commitment to innovation and accessibility.
