Africa-Press – Mauritius. An outreach programme was held by the Citizen Support Unit (CSU) team of the Prime Minister’s Office at Résidence Anoushka, in Curepipe on 30 September 2023.
On the same occasion a march was also organised with the collaboration of the Mauritius Scouts Association Band in the context of World Walking Day in presence of Parliamentary Private Secretary, Mr Soobeersingh Dhunoo, and Parliamentary Private Secretary, Mrs Marie Sandra Monia Mayotte.
Stakeholders present on the day, included, amongst others, Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sports and Recreation, Ministry of Arts and Cultural Heritage, District Council of Grand Port, National Empowerment Foundation, National Drug Secretariat, National Children Council, Mauritius Family Planning Association, National Social Inclusion Foundation, Mauritius Sports Council, Polytechnic Mauritius, Huawei, Food Canners Ltd, Kentucky Fried Chicken, State Bank of Mauritius and Mauritius Telecom Foundation,
The best student of Residence Anoushka, Ms Larisa Medon, from Dr Maurice Curé State College, who obtained an aggregate of 6 units at the School Certificate Examinations was rewarded by the CSU team.
It is recalled that in line with the philosophy of the Prime Minister, Mr Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, the CSU has a mission to bridge the gap between the services provided by Government and citizens.
