Africa-Press – Mauritius. Fidy Rasoanaivo, the new coach of Club M, was formalized in his position on Tuesday April 18 after his meeting with Stephan Toussaint, the Minister of Youth Empowerment, Sports and Leisure.
Its main mission will be the Indian Ocean Island Games (IOIG 2023). This competition will take place from August 23 to September 3 in Madagascar. Before moving to the Big Island, several preparatory meetings will punctuate the coming months for Club M.
“I am happy to have been confirmed in this position. I thank Minister Toussaint and the Mauritius Football Association for their trust.
It’s a huge challenge ahead of me, but I have confidence in my players. It is with hard work that we will succeed in our mission. There will be several preparation meetings before we go to Madagascar,” explains the technician.
Club M will rub shoulders with Super League teams in South Africa in particular. The quadricolors will also participate in a triangular tournament which will take place in Mauritius.
In the meantime, Fidy Rasoanaivo, who will be assisted by Sakoor Boodhun, has already presented a first list containing 71 shortlisted. They come from the three local championships, namely the Super League, D1 and D2. The group will have their first training session in about two weeks.
