In the context of the 93rd Birth Anniversary of Late Sir Anerood Jugnauth on Wednesday 29 March 2023, the Ministry of Arts and Cultural Heritage is organising a series of activities which include, a ‘Paying Homage Ceremony’ to be held on 29 March 2023, at the Samadhi of Late Sir Anerood Jugnauth, SSR Botanic Garden, in Pamplemousses.
Moreover, from 29 March to 05 April 2023, a temporary exhibition on the life of Late Sir Anerood Jugnauth, will be showcased under the veranda outside the Chateau de Mon Plaisir.
A Memorial Lecture on the theme “SAJ- The Architect of the Republic” is also scheduled at Paul Octave Wiéhe Auditorium, University of Mauritius, in Réduit, on Wednesday 29 March 2023 as from 16 30 hours.
The Memorial Lecture will be conducted by Dr Ibrahim Alladin. The event will as well include a launching of a First Day Cover on Late Sir Anerood Jugnauth.
