Africa-Press – Mauritius. The Central Procurement Board (CPB) organised a workshop focusing on the topic, “Engagement with Public Bodies to improve Vetting Time” on Friday 28th July 2023 at the Caudan Arts Centre, in Port-Louis.

During the one-day workshop, various presentations covered key topics including the consequences of delays in terms of time and cost, the ensuing prejudices caused to Mauritius as well as undue delays caused between initial submission by Public Bodies and vetting by Board.

Representatives of Public Bodies who attended the workshop were given the opportunity to present difficulties they face in submitting their bidding documents. Objectives of the workshop

The CPB which is mandated for the vetting of Bidding Documents for major contracts, endeavours to improve vetting time by engaging with Public Bodies to reflect on issues that will help them ensure that the quality of their document is not compromised.

The CBP organised the workshop with relevant stakeholders with the aim to enable them to voice out any difficulties they may be facing in the preparation of documents and at the same time identify training requirements.
