Africa-Press – Mauritius. Dubai carrier Emirates will be operating twice daily flights on its A380 aircraft to Mauritius from July 1, 2022. Emirates currently operates daily flights to Mauritius on its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

To meet rising demand for travel, the airline will be scaling up operations from daily to nine weekly flights between April 9, 2022 and the end of June 2022 and then moving up to double daily flights from July 2022.

Emirates’ second daily flight will provide an important boost to tourism to the island nation which has now relaxed entry restrictions for travellers, a statement said.

The carrier is currently in its 20th year of operations to the Indian Ocean destination. The Emirates A380 aircraft offers 14 first class suites, 76 lie-flat seats in business class and 426 ergonomically designed seats in economy class.

Customers can make their bookings to travel to Mauritius on the carrier’s website or app or via local Emirates sales offices or through travel agents.

Emirates has introduced 25 mobile check-in ports at Dubai International airport Terminal 3. The airline has previously introduced several technology-driven features at its Dubai base to aid customer journeys through the terminal. In 2020, the airline launched an “integrated biometric path” at DXB to facilitate a contactless passenger experience.
