In his speech, Minister Bholah highlighted the significance of the training sessions conducted in 15 villages across eight social centers in the north, where the female participants completed SME courses, commending their achievement.

He stressed the aim to empower these participants through certification, intending to equip them with skills for entrepreneurial endeavors and fostering independence.

The Minister emphasised Government’s commitment to providing financial support for business ventures, underscoring the equal importance of training, knowledge, and product recognition facilitated by SME Mauritius Ltd to ensure sustained success.

Additionally, he highlighted SME’s provision of low-interest grants and urged the participants to utilise their acquired knowledge to establish businesses, leveraging the available facilities and oversight.

He urged the participants to employ their training in entrepreneurial pursuits, highlighting the extensive support and monitoring systems in place to ensure success.

This initiative, he added, aligns with a larger strategy aimed at fostering economic independence and propelling socio-economic growth through entrepreneurial empowerment.
